What I do:
—Use my established relationships with printers and manufacturers to provide the best deals at good quality
—Communicate with a printer and ensure that specs are correct before printing
—Source a variety of merchandise, including: charms, pins, buttons, stickers, bookmarks, standees, washi tape, pouches, lanyards, notepads, prints, patches, and more.
—Order all items promptly
—Pack and ship all items in a timely manner, with input from you
—Provide a PO Box for undeliverable items to return to
—Provide a complete and, if need be, public budget sheet of all expenses, formatted for ease of understanding.
—Monitor all packages for delivery
—Manage leftovers salesWhat I don't do:
—Administrative zine work
—PDF Creation
—Manage emails/social media/etc.
—Graphic design
—Copy Editing
—Host preorders via my PayPal account
—Distribute funds to charity or contributors
—Work with anti-shippers or other known harassersWhat I can do:
—Provide premade form templates for administrative work that you can edit and use
—Consult on pricing for preorders
—Suggest merch itemsWhat I require (nonnegotiable):
—10-30% of profits (determined by number of orders) + $20 fee
—Production credit within physical zine, on website, and in PDF version, if applicable
—Full access to zine funds no more than 60 days after preorders opening* OR full and immediate reimbursement of all items purchased on behalf of the zine (including packing material, labels, etc)
—Access to zine store
—Public receipt posted of charity donation or acknowledgement from contributors once they receive profits*
—Full name and contact information of head mod on project, for legal purposes
—Head mod either takes ownership of all remaining product or surrenders ownership to me after a predetermined period of time.
—Complimentary copy of zine (+ bundle, if contributors are receiving one)*Collaborative projects onlyWhy hire me?
